François Boissy is General Director of the Maison du Père as of March 2016. He joined the team at the Maison du Père as Director of Operations in 2014. Among other achievements, he coordinated the opening of the Maison Wolfe men’s rooming house and represented the Maison on numerous committees in the community before assuming overall management of the Maison du Père in 2016.

François spent much of his career in the hotel industry as a senior manager for groups such as Hilton Hotels, Delta Hotels, and IHG, and spent 11 years with the Le Centre Sheraton Montreal Hotel. He was also a municipal councilor for the City of Saint-Lambert, which he represented at the agglomeration level on the Boards of Directors of the Longueuil Municipal Housing Bureau (Office Municipal d’Habitation de Longueuil, OMHL) and the Social Housing Commission (Commission des logements sociaux). There he also chaired the Traffic Committee, which was mandated to set up a new master traffic plan. He was a member of the Board of Directors for the Friends of the Saint-Lambert Library Foundation.

He graduated from the Institut de tourisme et de l’hôtellerie du Québec (Institute of Tourism and Hospitality of Quebec) and completed the advanced hotel management program at the University of Guelph in 2005.
