G E R M A I N   B E N O Î T

Germain Benoît started his career at Price Waterhouse. He then joined the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) to advise and finance projects for growing SMEs. He was also a financial adviser at Raymond Chabot Martin Paré and a project manager at Desjardins Investments.

From 1990 to 2010 he was the President of Capital Benoît Inc., a family company that invests in equity stakes of private and public businesses with promising growth prospects.

In parallel with his professional responsibilities, for more than 40 years he has been on the Board of Directors of several companies in Quebec, as Chairman of the Board, Chairman of the Audit Committee, member of the Human Resources Committee, Secretary, and Treasurer.

He holds a Master of Commerce from the University of Sherbrooke and an MBA from HEC Montreal. He is a member of the Order of Chartered Professional Accountants of Quebec.
