Projet Logement Montréal (PLM) is the result of a consortium made up of the Maison du Père, Welcome Hall Mission, Old Brewery Mission and Accueil Bonneau. The goal of this project, subsidized by the federal government, is to provide stable housing for people who are chronically or episodically homeless in order to reduce homelessness in Montréal.
The target set for the next four years is to find 250 housing units on the island of Montréal that meet the needs and tastes of men, women and youths who have indicated their interest in taking part in the project.
The four partners have banded together to set up a centralized team with the task of compiling a list of housing units and, above all, of forging links between homeless individuals and landlords. This team meets the needs conveyed by front-line staff working in each of the four partner organizations, who will provide long-term psycho-social follow-up of these individuals in their homes.
